Aliens vs. Predator, developed by Rebellion in the UK, is the first title to be launched in Sega’s forthcoming series of Aliens games. Players will have the chance to take the role of the three infamous species: Colonial Marine, Predator and Alien. Each of the three species has its very own distinct story-driven singleplayer campaign mode that interweaves with the campaigns of the other two species. Aliens vs. Predator also features unique 3-way online multiplayer, allowing gamers to pit the three species against each other. Sega and Rebellion are trying to create an “excellent gaming experience” that will help this legacy live on. Unlike the movies! lol Rebellion is also the team responsible for the original 1999 classic, Aliens Vs. Predator. FIFA 10 will be the next instalment of ea’s FIFA series of football video games. Developed by EA Canada, it is published by Electronic Arts worldwide under the EA Sports label. It is due for release across all platforms on 2 October 2009. Common belief was that the demo is due to be released 19 August (announced on the official website with a countdown timer) but, according to the official EA forums moderator, this is a countdown to a showing of the game at a German gaming convention. Before EA announced it would be developing the game, a producer of FIFA made a forum topic for improvements for FIFA 10. Hundreds and thousands of posts were made in the topic. A number of key areas have been worked upon for the upcoming game as announced by next-gen Gameplay Producer Santiago Jaramillo. * Manager Mode has had many issues addressed. Building a team to 5 stars will be much harder. The experience points system has been improved, pre-season friendlies are now organised by your assistant manager, a HUB screen has replaced the message system, you can now edit kit numbers, and the staff upgrades have been tweaked, you can get updates from other teams around the world (Total Football Experience), the player growth is revamped, the atmosphere is different with rival teams. Here is Version 2 of the new series I’m doing called My Week in Gaming where I showcase the games I played in the week. Here are the games: c-12 Final Resistance (PS1, but played on a PS2 with texture smoothing on)- I’ve been playing this game. I did post an underrated vid of the game in action. It plays like a futuristic Syphon Filter with more puzzle elements. It’s largely overlooked, because it came out ver late int he ps1’s library (2001 in Europe, and 2002 in the US). It’s a fun game. It has it’s issues, but overall, I’ve enjoyed playing it so far. NBA Jam TE (Sega Genesis)- This is easily my favorite sports game of all time. I generally hate sports games, but NBA Jam is awesome. I usually pull it out for a while once a year and give it a good playthrough. It’s just classic. Quake II online (PC)- What can I say, I’m addicted. I came into Quake II rather late. I didn’t get the game until 2005, and I really didn’t start playing it online heavily until late 2008-2009. So I’m about 11-12 years behind on the game. I was always afraid to try it online, because I knew that everyone on there had been playing for years, and they were going to murder me. Don’t get me wrong, they still murder me pretty easily, but I still have an absolutely blast playing every time. It’s just fast fun, and furious. I urge everyone to give this classic a try if they haven’t, or to give it another try if they used to play it. It’s still as fun as ever, and after playing this game, it make Halo 3 …
