Disclaimer: I do NOT recommend anyone keeping their GPU OC for gaming, I don’t. Thisvideo shows an Asus G73JH rog gaming laptop running the ‘China Trailblazer’ first race of Dirt 2. The full screen race is with the ATI 5870m GPU overclocked at 800×1100 which most G73’s should be able to do. Parts of a similar non overclocked (stock 700×1000) race and replay are overlaid in the upper right corner. FRAPS is running on both and by eyeballing it, we have around a 9 to 13% FPS improvement depending on cam view. It does raise the heat by 4 to 5C on my GPU and it is totally unnecessary as gameplay is smooth, except for the water entry and as far as I can tell, it’s just this track in either chase cam view. I used videostudio x3 to edit this video. I did not use Asus Twin Turbo for either race.
