I have always had a soft spot for sidekicks, in gaming, movies, books, etc… Because I am a younger sibling, I usually got stuck with player 2. So I was stuck with Tails, Luigi, Diddy Kong, etc… But it didn’t bother me at all. I LOVE sidekicks! To make my list of the TOP 10 Video Game Sidekicks, the character needs to either be playable, add some extra features or make the game easier, or be a key component to the story. I dug through past and present sidekicks and I made a list of what I feel are the Top 10 Video Game Sidekicks. I didn’t add many RPG characters, here is why, in an RPG, there are just SO many characters. How could I ever pick someone from lets say, Mother/Earthbound… What about Final Fantasy! Gosh there are hundreds! Also, because there are so many characters, it’s like they are all main characters and none of them are sidekicks. They are all equal, which is why rpgs are personal to the player. Remember, this is my personal list so please don’t get upset that I left out some of your favorites or ranked them lower then you think they should be. Everyone’s list is probably different because everyone enjoys different different characters. If you want to voice your opinion, why not make a video response or comment on this video? And you’ll be arrested. Bad – Really just a game for series/IP/genre diehards. Okay – Not bad enough to be bad, not good enough to be good. Good – Good ideas, good design, good execution. It’s good. Excellent – A very special layer of hell is reserved for people who don’t own this game.
