The RPG Fanatic: Playing Famicom Games on NES

In this video the RPG Fanatic talks about playing Famicom games on a Nintendo Entertainment System using a game converter (note that my SNES is the NTSC version. The PAL version has a lockout chip, as do all the PAL games).

  1. To my understanding not all Gyromite carts have a 60 to 72 pin connector. However Stack-up does.

  2. @KnownByNone29 Thanks. I intend to do an Ultima series review, someday.

  3. DarkMaverick? I’ve been watching your vids for months since spotting your link on NA, didn’t realise it was actually you!.
Quality reviews man, really enjoyed them you should do a review on Ultima VII, legendary game.
This is IldritchFire, by the way. Like you I also did “some” work for Nexus.

  4. @barsa527 What, you don’t like the 80′s decor?

  5. What’s up with the funky couch cover & the Leopard print drapes???

  6. @Veridiyagooru22 Thanks, I’m glad you enjoy them! Remember that on my channel page, clicking on my banner icons directs you to Facebook fan pages, Twitter account and MySpace so (if for some reason) Youtube cuts me off, you can still find my videos!

  7. Just want you to know that I really enjoy your reviews my friend. Keep on making them so I can keep enjoying them lol

  8. @TravisTuchdown Legend of Mana! And I have a review for it uploaded to my account!

  9. @vivalastupidity You can also do that, but it makes it harder to get a Super Game Boy to stay perfectly in place in a SNES system.

  10. what’s that 2d rpg in the intro at 0:20 ?

  11. man…i want to play that game if for no other reason than I loved the series. wish it still ran. :(

  12. What I did with my SNES to play SFC games is that I actually went into the SNES with a pair of needle-nosed pliers and I ripped those little tabs off. That way, I don’t have to drill into my SFC games. That’s also much easier to do in my opinion. Great video, as always!
