Suiko Enbu: Outlaws of the Lost Dynasty Game Sample – Sega Saturn (Japanese)

This game was actually released in the US under the generic name of Dark Legend and was a fighting game based on ye olde Water Margin lore. We actually don’t own the English version, but the Japanese one, so we made a video for it first. The only difference I can tell between the two so far without having actually played the one in the states is that the names of the characters are very different. It’s a decent fighter, though it has lots of load times (we cut the load times down by 60% or more, you’ll thank us later) and common drops in the framerate. This game also has a few combos, but no combo counter, which irks me for some reason. This game was also released for Playstation, but only in Japan. It has a semi-sequel of sorts for Sega Saturn as well. Enjoy.

  1. I already know the difference between the American Version and the Japanese Version.

Able to choose between Arcade and Special, the American Version defaults on Special.

Some characters in the intro are blackened.

All characters have voice acting through the menus. In North America the Japanese Dialog was removed and changed the annoucer’s voice.

When the other player is defeated on the 2P screen it saids “Wait A Moment”.

This is superior to the North American Version!

  2. So this is how the first one palyed huh? Interesting.
