www.retrogamingcollector.com —————- Sonic The Hedgehog Pocket Adventure playing on the SNK Neo Geo Pocket Colorretro handheld games console. Retro Gaming. This is not a review, walkthrough, playthrough, or demonstration of my playing ability. It’s simply a quick demonstration of the game so that anyone not familiar with these old games can see what it looks like. Any opinions or comments I make regarding these games should largely be taken with a pinch of salt. They are usually based on my first impressions after a very brief play.
Seems pretty good, but can Sonic dash?
Like he does on Sonic 2?
bem loco esse neogeo …..
because at the time neogeo didn’t have a lot of money because the arcades were pretty much dead at the time and released the pocet color to get that money back, however they had no money for advertising which killed it which made neogeo go bankrupt and get bought out by SNK
It was released in Japan in ’98, and the USA in ’99… not sure when it was released in Europe. It was withdrawn a couple of years later, and then re-released around ’03 by another company as a budget system, to clear old stock.
Plenty of them turn up on ebay at reasonable prices.
is neogeo old or new???????? if its new tell me were tto get it!
It’s a good game, and way better than Sonic on the Game Gear, as it can handle the speed, and given decent lighting, you can actually see what’s happening on the screen.
I just bought a NGPC and i must get this game!
I think it came down to being a bit expensive, poor distribution and poor marketing.
Back then, who’d even heard of them, much less seen them in the shops?
in my eyes i think this would have beaten the gameboy color but why wasn’t it poplular in the usa?
just by lookin at that game you can tell that the neo geo pocket was a hot system, and probably the best portable system compared to gameboy, advance, game com and gamegear.
Just got one of these a while back from ebay with 7 games for under $30. I have really grown fond of the little guy.
hard to find in american ….=(
Sonic looks good. The Neo Geo was very hard to find in the UK, a friend of mine had to import one from Japan this was back in 1999. For the time it was a super system
Its true, they were virtually impossible to find when SNK were still in business.
However, after they’d closed down, another company bought up their stocks of these handhelds, repackaged them, and shipped into such stores as Gamestation, at a budget price of £39.99 or so.
Even better, they came bundled with 6 games… which is how I came to have this example.
I always wanted one of these, but never found one. Of course, it didn’t help that you basically couldn’t find it in any stores outside of speciality shops.
