    Sorry but Final Fantasy 7 wasn’t all that good. I love the action, and CG, but it felt pointless as the storyline sucked.

    I REALLY hope it’s going to be a good film. I’m a big fan of the POP series (and the Prince ;D) And I believe that the film will last long enough for me to drool an ocean while watching :)

    Final Fantasy 7: Advent children did a fantastic job of making a movie from a game (albeit it was made by the same people). Also like how Ensemble Studios took Bungie’s Halo and made another game that still coincided with the rest of the Halo universe and didn’t suck. If you’ve seen the cutscenes from Halo Wars I think you might agree if they’d just made all the cutscenes into and hour and a half long movie it could have done well.

    well what i meant was like the doom movie. had NOTHING to do with the game except it took place on mars and the aliens looked like the demons. do it like the final fantasy movie, not the first one because that flopped because, like the doom movie, there were more differences than similarities to the game. Keep the characters the same, keep the atmosphere the same, but feel free to make a new story, as long as you don’t make it ridiculous and not make sense with the game.

    Sticking to the game will only make the movie suck worse. Game are made to be played and movies are meant to be watched. The reason why game movies failed so hard was because they are too close to the game that lacks story and characterization for a movie (Silent Hill, and Max Payne). Besides I don’t want to watch a movie about jumping, running to places and fighting over and over again and an hour and a half. Nor do I want a nameless prince with no background.
