Here is Version 2 of the new series I’m doing called My Week in Gaming where I showcase the games I played in the week. Here are the games: c-12 Final Resistance (PS1, but played on a PS2 with texture smoothing on)- I’ve been playing this game. I did post an underrated vid of the game in action. It plays like a futuristic Syphon Filter with more puzzle elements. It’s largely overlooked, because it came out ver late int he ps1′s library (2001 in Europe, and 2002 in the US). It’s a fun game. It has it’s issues, but overall, I’ve enjoyed playing it so far. NBA Jam TE (Sega Genesis)- This is easily my favorite sports game of all time. I generally hate sports games, but NBA Jam is awesome. I usually pull it out for a while once a year and give it a good playthrough. It’s just classic. Quake II online (PC)- What can I say, I’m addicted. I came into Quake II rather late. I didn’t get the game until 2005, and I really didn’t start playing it online heavily until late 2008-2009. So I’m about 11-12 years behind on the game. I was always afraid to try it online, because I knew that everyone on there had been playing for years, and they were going to murder me. Don’t get me wrong, they still murder me pretty easily, but I still have an absolutely blast playing every time. It’s just fast fun, and furious. I urge everyone to give this classic a try if they haven’t, or to give it another try if they used to play it. It’s still as fun as ever, and after playing this game, it make Halo 3 …
It’s a console thing I guess. I’ve always like Halo, but it’s way overrated.

the taito collection 2 is one of the best retro games collection ever!!! better then the capcom collections !! if i have to give away all my 90 ps2 games exept of one. i would carry the taito collection vol.2 ^_^
yeah it`s like when peolple ask me hey youre only playing xbox arcade games on your xbox360? why that? ^^ there tons of cool games on ps3 xbox360 and the wii but i still prefer the older games…. oldschool gamer with passion !!!!!!!!!
Having grew up on the quake and unreal games I always thought the halo series when they came to be slow and boring. I can’t figure out why halo is so popular.

Also, I love taito legends 2 on ps2. I have spent so many hours with that game and I havent even made it through all the games on the disc.

I have a 360, and PS3, but I still play my older systems more. I prefer my older games. I played some PS3 today. I got a few more. I guess technically it’s still this week, but I’ve got plans for the rest of the weekend, and won’t be at home to upload a vid.
It’s cool that you are playing older games, but aren’t you gaming on the new, current gen consoles such as PS3, Xbox 360 or Wii?
