Another video from the incite vaults. incite PC Gaming went to Bungie Studios to interview the team as it was preparing their latest game… Halo. This video features footage of the game when it was still a 3rd person perspective adventure game, and not the 1st person perspective everyone’s played. Doug Zartmann from Bungie explains some of the features of the game, and Charles Gough explains the physics used. The video also showcases the weapons and vehicles you can use in the game. Hard to believe those graphics are from a game that was in development seven years ago, huh? This video was originally found on the CD included with incite PC Gaming issue #2 (January 2000). The file date’s October 25, 1999, so this video was probably shot during the summer of 1999.
Hardly. Halo was considerably behind PC gaming the day it launched and was barely on par with PC gaming in 1999….
