In this show we discuss ways to get a good gaming experience despite a money constraint. This is the introductory episode for “Sports Month.” In this episode, we talk about sports games, their inherent draw to video games, and the value that sequels game to your gaming purchases. We also provide a review of NHL 2001. The video was done using DAZ 3D Studio (a free download), Mimic for DAZ Studio, and Windows Movie Maker. PC footage was captured using Game Cam and Cam Studio, and all console footage was captured on DVD and retrieved using Easy DVD Ripper. Special effects were done with Adobe After Effects and individual pictures were done in Photoshop. Audio was done with Audacity. I hope you enjoy the show. Great video yet again, I love the attention to detail with the missing tooth.
Actually, I’m going in a different direction for the remainder of the month. I am going to cover one sport that most of us have probably never played, one fantasy sport that we never could play, and one sport’s game that has excellent multiplayer formats.
I’m glad you enjoyed the show.
As of now, I plan to have February of next year be a different theme. That said, I will likely revisit sports month in the future. There are a lot of amazing sports games out there; far too many to sum up in 4 weeks.
I think you will find that the games I have chosen for this month cover a fairly broad cross-section of sports games.
another great vid!
will your monthly topics stay the same year after year, or will each new month bring a new topic? like, will next Feb be sports again, or will it be something different? keep it up!
Great review.
Are you going to talk about Football Manager and games like that?
NHL 2001 is a classic, used to love playing it on the PSX with a friend. Penalties off, big hits too the max and speed on the fastest lead to some awesome games.
I seriously thought that was Harry Shearer in the outro. I am a philistine
I played NHL 98 on PC many, many hours on a junk PC. Good times. Thanks for the review.
Collective Soul!
haha your review are always great
Great job, again!
I have heard of Blood Bowl. In fact, I did a review of a similar, if more toned down, game in December called “Battle Ball.”
I think it is fantastic that they are making it into a console title. I look forward to playing it.
Thanks for the information!
Have you heard about Blood Bowl? It’s football + Warhammer and they’re making it for the consoles.
