Game Music Appreciation Theater – Kirby’s Adventure

Hey everyone its time for another Game Music Appreciation Theater and this time around its Kirby’s Adventure on the nes brought to us by Hal Laboratory. This was the last big platformer for the NES and it shows. It has some of the best graphics, gameplay, and of course music the nes ever saw. The soundtrack was composed by Hal’s main team of composers Jun Ishikawa and Hirokazu Ando. Enjoy! 1. My favorite was Green Greens on the last stage as soon as i herd it I’m like “This was in melee! But this is WAY better!” :)

  2. I still have the game. It doesn;t work out too weel, but still plays. It really was great. soundtrack was awesome.

  3. Aw, u left out the best one the final level before the battle with king dedede

  4. One of the BEST games in NES…

  5. and most of this music was also featured on kirby’s avalanche on the snes CIRCA’94.5
and (most people wont agree) kirby’s avalanche and dr.robotnics mean bean machine are 99.9.9.8% identical to each other

AND KNOWING IS HALF THE BATTLE!

  6. lvl 2 in ice cream island is the best

  7. but the best is Rainbow Resort….

  8. Dude, every single song from kirby is awesome, u shouldve played all.

  9. KIRBY KICKS ASS!!!

  10. Last title? It was the ONLY title on the NES?

  11. Yeah usually for my GMAT videos they are made up of clips of me just messing around not really caring or of failed attempts at doing a play it through of the game.

  12. is that you playing?

  13. its one of the best games in the NES (and my first NES game)

  14. Well I did my first run of the game back in November but I lost it when I needed to reupload it for the new account. So I just redid it also my first run wasn’t 100%

  15. My personal favourites have to be both the level 7 theme and the theme song for the final boss.

Also didnt know you were doing a LP on this game as well. Awesome since this game kicks ass… and it’s awesomeness makes my extra mode Kirby’s Adventure LP look like ameteur work.

  16. If you listen closely, you can hear the melody from Green Greens (Kirby’s Dream Land) playing over and over again in the Green Valley tune’s background. It’s a trivial little detail, but I always liked the connection between the two songs. =0)

Anyway, Kirby games have always been extremely well polished when it comes to music, graphics and gameplay – it’s been one of my favourite videogame franchises since Kirby’s Pinball Land (even though a higher difficulty level would be nice ;0)).

  17. *tilts head* I would of choose a couple other themes (like the boss theme..Kirby Boss themes are always filled with win.)

Thought eh soundtrack is defiantely good for a NES game..and Kirby’s music only got better with age. ^_^

  18. Oops! Never mind. I see the final part.

  19. That was a pretty good soundtrack, I have to say that my favorite song was the last one, but they’re all pretty good.

  20. What happened to the last part of Snake’s Revenge?

  21. World 4 + 7 themes are sex. Also, this video reminded me that I should (at some point) start up parts 3-7 of my LP on it. Thanks for the reminder.

  22. Awesome soundtrack. I’ve always liked this game! One of my faves.

BTW, I’m glad I finally found you again. After CornShaq was suspended, I thought you were gone forever. Hehe… I love your videos especially the music appreciation ones. :)
